Blue-Ray Biotech Won 2020 Taiwan Excellence with TurboFuge, a High-Speed Microcentrifuge with Multiple Safety Features
The parent company of Blue-Ray Biotech, Arise Biotech Corporation, is a provider of innovative and high-quality equipment of life science, a developer and a manufacturer of reagents and medical consumables. Blue-Ray Biotech has won the Taiwan Excellence Award twice in a row, with two award-winning innovative products acclaimed in 2020. One of them is TurboFuge, a high-speed microcentrifuge with multiple safety features to ensure the safety and to reduce noise in the laboratory when sensitive biological samples are put in a high-speed centrifuge for a long run.
A stable metal lid and a motorized dual lock are fitted to make sure that the lid would not be unlocked when the motor is running. The enhanced ventilation design and heat sink around the chamber can maintain the stability of operation/centrifugation.
James Lo, General Manager of Arise Biotech, stated that: “To provide a safe work environment for our lab professionals, TurboFuge is equipped with a smart sensor to instantly turn the centrifuge off when rotor imbalance is detected. With a ‘Safety Comes First’ mentality, our team has put the motor of the centrifuge under 1,500 hours of continuous run and the lid 20,000 open/close cycle test to guarantee the reliability of our product.”
